Explore the full impact of ADHD

Even when treated, patients with ADHD can still struggle.1

Angry outbursts. Sleepless nights. Social challenges. Low self-esteem.

ADHD symptoms can disrupt patients’ lives. There’s more to ADHD than the diagnostic symptoms of inattention and hyperactivity/impulsivity.2 Research shows associated symptoms—such as emotional dysregulation, executive dysfunction, and sleep disturbance—may cause problems as well.2* In addition, comorbidities with overlapping symptoms, such as depression and anxiety, may further complicate the picture, making it more difficult to diagnose and treat ADHD.3,4

Seeing all of ADHD may give us a more complete understanding of the burden patients carry as they navigate everyday life.

*Diagnostic symptoms are included in the DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria. Associated symptoms are separate from diagnostic symptoms but support a diagnosis of ADHD and can exacerbate the impairment patients already face with ADHD.
